Our Mission
At the KSD Foundation, our mission is to help ease the burden of burial or cremation cost by providing assistance and support to those having lost a loved one due to cancer. We believe that every life deserves a dignified celebration. Depletion of resources due to overwhelming healthcare costs should never get in the way of that. We're here to help.
Our History
Founded in 2019, the Kenya Shamsid-Deen Durley Foundation was established to address the need for assistance to those bereaved families who have endured the death of a family member due to a form of cancer. Our intended recipients are those facing financial hardship concerning end-of-life arrangements. We are serving the Atlanta community and surrounding areas.
Our Programs
We offer a variety of support to assist with cost and/or navigating the process of burial and cremation arrangements. With the available expertise of a Licensed Funeral Director, loving donations, and fundraising, we're able to provide clarity and support when needed most.
Cancer is no easy feat. Those who eventually lose their battle have often poured so much into surviving, that their families struggle with the responsibility of laying them to rest. Our goal is to provide aid for those needing support.
